About the Event
During Rutland's Winterfest, The Paper Poet and Come Alive Outside are hosting a Community Vow Renewal (Writing Workshop & Ceremony) called “A Single Candle Can Light Thousands”. Officiated by The Paper Poet, Bianca Amira Zanella, this celebration allows all to bear witness to the wonder and magnificence of a supportive community, of the uniting and connecting to our ancestral lineages; if you are coupled or uncoupled, come and celebrate by writing and renewing a vow to yourself, the Earth, a loved one, or to Rutland. We will write into a collective renewing, recommitting, and reaffirming as a way to light thousands of candles with our single winter-blue flame, and then allow those intentions to manifest. *
Bring a rock or object that has meaning to you and a candle. Lights refreshments will be provided.
Quote from the Buddha: "A single candle can light thousands of them, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness is never diminished by being shared."
Suggested Donation: $20/single or $30/couple
Please register on the EventBrite by February 15 (this makes a great Valentine's gift!).
